Fallen Angels

One night two mortals got immortalized in love. Shedding their tears they became angels. Heaven rejoiced at their first touch. When they kissed, the flowers in the Garden of Eden bloomed red. When they made love, angels danced as the nightingale sung the eternal song of love to the moon. Time stopped, night spread a sheet of deep sleep upon earth. God smiled and blessed these innocent lovers.

Satan was mortified; the purity of their love stung him like a bush of nettles. “Almighty”, he raged, “Be thou witness, I shalt corrupt thy servants, I shalt fill them with lust and desire.” In the walk of life these souls had gone far away from God, and they both gave into temptations. The last time night saw them together, it was so ugly that the clouds hid the face of crying moon. The wings of angels were charred as the Son of Devil took birth from the corpse of divine love. God’s eyes were wet for the second time.

In agony, the man howled. He repented and returned to the ever forgiving God. He armed him with the strength of Time. Will this tormented lover be able to wrest his lady love from the clutches of the Evil? Or will lovelessness lead him to destruction?

Nirvana

Oh, this moon made so bright by the halo of your face. Oh, this wild blessed so tender, by does and their grace.

Oh, this night smells heavenly sweet, like flowers adorning me. Oh, this night like a peacock dance, dances my heart for thee.

I, Shakuntala, sit like grass; wait for your eyes to shine. I, Shakuntala, wait for an embrace, embrace of passion divine.

Oh, don’t you see the honeybees stealing nectar from your smile. Or little fairies come alive, to flirt with you for a while.

And the snake hisses loud, sprouting from the ancient tree. Million leaves, like million eyes, watching us from eternity.

I, the sage, unaware of thee; see you now, as a sketch of me. Like the sea feels the sky, on its skin and in infinity.

Then come ye Buddha, compassionate, free me from the wheel of life. Touch my temple with your lips so pure and make me thy gandharva wife.

Seems to me, equanimity, lies in arms so round. Seems to me, now that I’ve found thee, nirvana have I found.

I would be lying if I say this story is mine. I was just gifted to live the experience. The 24 year old may be dead, but not his story. It lives on, reliving every moment, like every breath. The keys to his heart is lost, but the locker has treasure, of love and purity, of devotion and innocence.

16 years later, the story is incomplete. Wish to release soon.
